During this activity, the students identified the relationships between organisms in a food web.  I adapted from a Population Education lesson.  Each student was given a specific character to listen for while I read the story out loud.  We passed a string around as the characters were named in the story.  When the story was finished, I asked discussion questions such as, "What happens if a tree falls or is cut down in the forest? Who will feel a pull on the string? Is the tree anyone’s home?"
